There are many good golf clubs in the area, the nearest being at Alresford, and trout fishing in the Meon Valley.

National Trust’s Hinton Ampner House and Gardens is approximately 1 mile away, and the Mid Hants steam railway, The Watercress Line, at nearby Alresford makes a great historic journey back through time! The historic cathedral city of Winchester is 8 miles away, and also near to the market town of Petersfield, 11 miles away. Southampton and Portsmouth with the Spinnaker Tower, day trips to the Isle of Wight by ferry, shopping outlets and historic dockyard with ships are all within easy reach. Less than 30 minutes drive will take you to the nearest beach at Hayling Island and about 40 minutes drive to the wonderful sandy beach at West Wittering.
