This Victorian style property has been developed over time into a wonderful family home and is truly enhanced by the natural landscape that surrounds it. The spacious accommodation and open plan layout create the perfect combination to entertain friends and family, whilst being located in this idealistic setting. Plenty of light enters the property giving a refreshing touch and the south facing garden enables effortless relaxation and a well-deserved chance to re-charge the batteries.

Endless exploring is available right on your doorstep. West End Farm is strategically positioned, with many footpaths just a stone’s throw branching off into all directions, allowing the local area to be easily discovered. Wildlife thrive in the surrounding woodlands, just driving down the road on the approach to the property you’re more than likely to see a deer or two! Endless walks, free flowing streams, vast varieties of flowers, trees and animals ensure fun for all the family and never a dull moment.

Being in 1066 country means that history and heritage flows throughout the local area. West End Farm, up until the 1950’s, used to be a working rose farm and grew many varieties. There are still many roses around the garden, giving a small insight into the past. Battle Abbey, which houses one of the largest tapestries in Europe, is only a short drive away, as is the spot where King Harold is reputed to have died, shot in the eye, meaning you can step back in time and discover what this historically rich area has to offer.
Alternatively modern attractions such as Drusillias Zoo are only a short distance away. If you fancy an evening spent star gazing then pop down to the Herstomceux Science Centre and get hands-on with activities, and discover the telescopes and domes of the world famous astronomical observatory. Good rail links to London and Tonbridge are also a short distance from the property, giving the best of both worlds. Beach 12 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely quiet location but quite difficult to find due no sign on the driveway, there is a small hand written one on the gate but you've then essentially driven past the property! The house itself was lovely and clean but missing a few essentials which we would of liked. No dishwasher tablets No matches/lighter No cheese grater No foil No small jug for milk No freezer!!! Absolutely crazy that this isn't provided as all the ice we bought melted! We tried to use the sink to fill with the ice to cool the wine bottles but the plug didn't seal correctly so all the water drained out. The fridge is also far too small for 6 people. The rooms are nice but the fourth room is essentially a closet but ok for a weekend and a single person or a child. Really need a full length mirror too as difficult for a group of girls! We did really enjoy our stay here but a few home comforts such as above would of made it a bit better. Overall I would recommend the house because the location is just wonderful. It's so quiet and we loved sitting out in the garden in the evenings drinking our warm wine!
