Accommodation description

A charming, stone-built, detached cottage situated in an ideal position on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Stairhaven, only a short stroll from the coast, in this stunning corner of Dumfries and Galloway. Renovated to a good standard and tastefully decorated throughout, the cottage boasts wood burners in the kitchen/dining room and the lounge, perfect for relaxing after a long day sightseeing in the beautiful countryside surrounding the cottage. A particular bonus to Wee Dug Hoose is the sun room to the rear overlooking the garden and across unspoilt farmland.

There are many attractions within easy reach of Wee Dug Hoose including the Mull of Galloway and beautiful gardens such as Logan Botanic Gardens and Castle Kennedy Gardens. The Galloway Forest offers exceptional walking and cycling, including one of the world famous 7Stanes cycle trails. It is also situated in a designated Dark Sky Park, the first of its kind outside the USA. There are a number of golf courses close by, including the Wigtownshire County Golf Club, which is situated on the shores of Luce Bay.
