You’re greeted by a spacious semi-detached cottage surrounded by countryside views. There’s an open plan kitchen, which is fully equipped for your stay, dining and living area, along with shower room. On the first floor is a spacious double bedroom. There are walking opportunities from the door, and historic Caernarfon is close by with its impressive castle and fine selection of pubs, shops and restaurants; it is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Perfect for a romantic break away. A drive eastwards from the cottage through the Nantlle Valley takes you to Rhyd Ddu, the starting point of one of the footpaths to Snowdon and also a station on the Welsh Highland Railway. Beaches just down the road such as the award wining Dinas Dinlle. The Llŷn Peninsula is within easy reach, as is the beautiful isle of Anglesey.

    The location is superb, Snowdon a short distance away but also is the coast. It is not remote as its at the end of a village on a B road but it still feels miles away from urban life. There are very interesting slate quarries to explore on the doorstep. The cottage is on a driveway of a large house owned by a lovely welcoming and helpful family. It is split in two so you are only booking half the cottage in the picture. It was meticulously clean. We really enjoyed staying there and would like to return as there is so much to see and do in the area. Our only minor negatives were that the kitchen utensils were a bit limited, downstairs got a bit cold in the evenings (as the fire didn't seem to stay on for more than a minute) and the neighbours in the other half of the cottage could be noisy at times but overall I would definitely recommend it. We loved the layout, quaintness, location and views. Also note that the toilet in downstairs which might not suit everyone.
