Nestled within the glorious Taw Valley, in the North Devon countryside, just 10 miles from the stunning coast, with its many sandy beaches and breathtaking coastal path, Country Ways is the perfect choice for a relaxing escape at any time of year. Ideally positioned to explore both Devon and Cornwall, they offer a great base. Accessed down a private lane, the site is surrounded by the owners 42-acre grounds, enjoying stunning panoramic views. Each cottage have been lovingly furnished and presented to a very good standard and has access to use of a shared games room, which houses a pool table, table tennis and table football, with a selection of movies and games too. This wonderful site also plays hosts to weddings year round, so during this time, use of on-site facilities will be restricted.

The pretty village of High Bickington is just 1 mile away and offers two popular village inns serving food, along with a community shop and church. The small Tarka trainline passes through the nearby village of Umberleigh, on its journey between Exeter and Barnstaple. Nearby you can also hire a bike and enjoy a days cycling or dog walking on the nearby Tarka Trail. Great Torrington, 6 miles has supermarkets, local shops, pannier market, pubs and restaurants along with the highly acclaimed Plough Arts Centre, which houses a theatre, music, live entertainment, small cinema, café and art gallery. Dartington Crystal Factory is also nearby, or for garden lovers, the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are not to be missed.

The North Devon coastline has something for everyone, with quaint old fishing villages at Bucks Mills and Clovelly, and large sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Westward Ho! popular with surfers. Golf, fishing, horse riding and cycling are all available close by and the wild beauty of Exmoor and Dartmoor are easily accessible for a great day out exploring. Nearby Barnstaple has a good selection of larger local facilities and for family fun Tarka Pottery, The Big Sheep, The Ultimate Adventure Centre and nearby Wake Park are not to be missed.
