Quirky, traditional, these are fairly common when describing a property, in this case though, they really are spot on. A property which is typically Berwick in the traditional sense and quirky by modern standards. Between both the local train station and town centre, ‘The Hidden Gem’ is tucked away down a private alley just minutes walk from both. The quirky layout is over 3 levels, typical of the era of build. Please be aware that guests with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs. The ground floor is where the breakfast kitchen and bathroom are located. The first floor provides a cosy living room with TV and use of an Amazon Firestick. Located off the living room is the dining room, the perfect place to put on some music and enjoy each other’s company...maybe even a few glasses of wine and some laughs. The remaining two bedrooms are on the top floor. Consisting of one double and one twin, both rooms have been tastefully finished.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is famed from being almost on the Scotland/England border and serving as a gateway to both north and south, it also has its’ own charm an appeal. From bars and restaurants to beach and coastal walks and plenty for the kids to do, there’s something for everyone. The Northumberland coast is arguably one of the prettiest in the UK, with white sandy beaches, medieval castles and islands, your inner explorer will shine through and you’re sure to enjoy a trip to one of the superb neighbouring or nearby attractions. Beach 1¾ miles. Shop and restaurant 350 yards, pub 176 yards .
