Frosterley House Cottages comprise of two delightful, semi-detached, converted barn conversions which have been finished to a high standard. The owner’s exceptional taste and attention to detail are evident throughout and the property conversion won a Heritage Award.

The Coach House (ref UK13253) has one bedroom and offers contemporary and accessible single storey accommodation. The front door leads into the open living space which is flooded with natural light from the large windows facing the courtyard. The attractive kitchen features a range of fitted units with granite work surfaces. There is a beautifully presented master bedroom which benefits from an en-suite shower room, and also provides external access to the gardens.

The Barn (ref UK13254) has everything you would expect from a beautiful cottage. Offering a bright and contemporary interior, it is finished to a high specification with elegant touches throughout. The Barn is set over two storeys with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. The open plan living space with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, along with the third bedroom and shower room, are on the first floor, accessed by an attractive wooden staircase. A modern wood burner makes an impressive focal point. Windows offer garden views and a half-glazed stable door provides access to the gardens.

Frosterley is a popular village on the banks of the River Wear amidst the glorious North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The surrounding area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with a network of public footpaths, great for walking and cycling and enjoying the stunning scenery. There are many sites of historic and geological interest, including the famous Frosterley Marble. Frosterley station is on the heritage Weardale Railway. The village offers a good range of amenities including a general store, newsagent, Post Office, village hall, two traditional pubs and a fish and chip shop. The charming market towns of Stanhope and Wolsingham are equidistant from Frosterley and both provide a good range of facilities. The annual Wolsingham Agricultural Show on the first weekend in September (established in 1763), is one of the oldest shows in the country. Stanhope also has an annual show. Nearby Bishop Auckland provides further retail and recreational services, while Durham and Newcastle city centres, which are also within easy reach, provide comprehensive cultural, educational and shopping facilities. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful views from the top of the paddock. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately. 6.
