The Cathedral City of Ely is 4 miles away and there you are quite literally in the midst of the local amenities. Little Downham is your closest village and here you will find two pubs (one specializing in authentic Thai food), and a village store.
On the doorstep there are lots of countryside walks and cycling options, plenty of wildlife and RSPB land directly opposite. Slightly further afield, though only 4 miles, is Ely, a wonderful Cathedral City which has an array of good places to eat and drink, and a variety of shops. While away, stroll down to the river and spend some time watching the boats. Nearby tourist attractions include Oliver Cromwell’s House in Ely, Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, Liberty Belle River Cruise in Ely, RSPB Ouse Washes and Cherry Hill Park.
