An ideal base to explore the surrounding area

These well-appointed properties are situated in a quiet hamlet, midway between Bridgnorth and Ludlow, two of Shropshire’s most well-known and loved historic towns. They are well positioned to take advantage of the views across the open countryside. The Annexe (ref 29626), is semi-detached and stands 20 yards from The Barn (ref W44249), which is a detached barn conversion, and both properties have private hot tubs. The interior of The Barn has been thoughtfully designed with beautiful stone floors and a cosy woodburner. Set in a convenient location, they are within walking distance of the locally run pub, and a short drive away from the visitor attractions of Ludlow with its castle and racecourse, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Also worth visiting are the River Severn, famous for its tidal bore, the River Teme and the Severn Valley Railway. Other local attractions include Rays Farm, the inland funicular railway and Daniels Mill. This is an ideal touring base for people wishing to explore Shropshire and Herefordshire, as well as the mid Wales borderlands. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

A lovely cottage with everything we needed in a beautiful setting. The thoughtful touches including the doggie welcome bags together with Prosecco and biscuits were very much appreciated. Made the most of the big hot tub and the robes and towels provided were a great extra touch. We visited the local pub which was less than 10 minute walk away and that too was a very welcoming place with great service and tasty food. The vegetarian option for my daughter wasn’t to my daughter’s taste but the chef accommodated us with another dish. We didn’t visit the local area as we stayed over Christmas but would definitely return to do do another time as I felt this was a wonderful bolthole and just what we needed. It certainly did not disappoint. Thank you Nigel and Vikki 
