Brand new for 2021 this stunning holiday home with two bedrooms is situated on a popular holiday park which is ideal for couples and families looking to enjoy a welcome break and explore the beautiful surroundings. Squirrel Corner is just 2½ miles from Cockermouth and is located on the fringe of the Lake District National Park which provides the perfect base for your holiday. The interior design is both contemporary and thoughtful and offers a peaceful environment with plenty of easy seating and dining space. The open plan design makes it a very social space and ideal for spending quality time with loved ones. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living area offers comfortable sofas and a 32" Smart TV. The main bedroom features a kingsize ottoman bed with plenty of storage for your belongings and an en-suite shower room. Whilst the second bedroom has twin beds and there is a separate shower room with heated towel rail. Outside is decking and an outdoor seating area to soak up the sunshine and relax with a glass of wine.
This is an excellent base to explore the Northern Lakes and the west coast of Cumbria. The park is well maintained and peaceful, and you are only 25 minutes’ drive from Keswick. The village of Great Broughton is just a mile away with five pubs and a village shop. There is easy access to beautiful scenery, fantastic walks, and picturesque landscapes as well as being just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Cockermouth with an abundance of speciality shops, coffee houses, restaurants and attractions. Visit Wordsworth House for a spot of culture, or maybe Jennings Brewery beneath the castle walls which offers tasting tours. Kirkgate Arts provides a cinema and theatre performances. If you love the Lakes you are in easy reach of Bassenthwaite Lake with stunning scenery and an abundance of wildlife including red squirrels, buzzards and osprey to the east. Or drive south and you’ll reach Loweswater which connects to Crummock Water and Buttermere, arguably one of the most picturesque areas of Cumbria for breathtaking scenery. Whether you’re looking for rugged adventure or just a peaceful walk taking in the flora and fauna, this is a beautiful area to explore, and for family fun a great day out can be had at The Lake District Wildlife Park with over 100 species of animals at Bassenthwaite, 10 miles, or Go Ape, a tree top adventure at Whinlatter Forest, also home to some brilliant cycling trails, is just 9 miles.
