Rowanlea is a lovely, semi-detached property tucked away in the village of Newtonmore in the Scottish Highlands. It’s a small and lively village on the banks of the River Spey, in the Cairngorms National Park and right in the centre of Scotland.

The area is a sportsman’s paradise with cycling, walking, skiing, golfing, fishing and many more pursuits available to enjoy from the doorstep. Special mention must go to the fly fishing on the Spey, which is simply world-class and permits for the Newtonmore beats are available from a local shop.

Beyond sports and the dramatic scenery, Highland hospitality is waiting to welcome visitors into high-quality local restaurants, cafés, galleries and, of course, Speyside distilleries. Locally the world-famous Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Aberlour open their doors for tastings and tours daily.

Rowanlea itself is situated in the heart of the historic village in a quiet position. Refurbished in 2019 and decorated in a contemporary style, it retains a hint of the Highlands with tweeds and prints.

On the ground floor of the property is a comfortable living room, an open plan kitchen/dining room with all modern appliances, a utility room, a double bedroom, a twin room with single beds and a large family bathroom. The first floor has a second living room and the master suite a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room.

There is parking for 2 cars at the front of the property, where there is also a patio area with garden furniture. To the rear is an enclosed garden. Shop and restaurant 700 yards, pub 110 yards.
