Situated in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, this beautifully converted, pet friendly cottage was originally part of a steading close to the birthplace of Rob Roy McGregor, commonly known as Rob Roy, or alternatively Red MacGregor, a famous Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th Century, who is sometimes known as the Scottish Robin Hood.

Rob Roy is a terraced cottage which is all on one level and finished to a good standard, with hardwood flooring and quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Guests will find a welcoming and well-presented holiday home with a spacious and airy open plan living area boasting a wood burner, large comfortable sofas, a dining area with a large table for everyone to sit together at breakfast and plan the day’s activities and a contemporary kitchen area fitted with quality appliances and equipped with everything you will need to prepare a family meal or celebration dinner. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, TV and en-suite facilities. There are two further bedrooms, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, and a family bathroom.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is just for you, spend a lazy afternoon curled up with a book in front of the wood burner, or gaze out at the spectacular views from the French door which lead to a terrace where you can have your breakfast al fresco, and in the evening star gaze with little light pollution. Surrounded by wildlife with red squirrels, wild birds, deer, pole cats and wild goats which often visit the grounds, this is a nature watches paradise.

Rob Roy sits in a tranquil corner at the side of Loch Katrine (Glengyle) with views of the loch and surrounding hills of Ben Lomond, Ben Ledi and Ben Venue and is in the perfect setting for those who love outdoor pursuits. The loch is surrounded by a private road and provides a quiet environment to walk and cycle from the front door. Great hill walking, mountain biking and fishing are also available in the area.
This property can be booked together with Jacobite (CC523177) to accommodate up to 8 guests.Situated in a spectacular location in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, these two beautifully converted, pet friendly cottages were originally part of a steading close to the birthplace of Rob Roy McGregor, commonly known as Rob Roy, or alternatively Red MacGregor, a famous Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th Century, who is sometimes known as the Scottish Robin Hood.
