Lying peacefully in a secluded location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this well presented holiday studio apartment is a perfect getaway for guests looking for an adventure in rural Wales. Guests staying at The Snug receive free entry to the Red Kite Feeding Station for the duration of their stay, situated 250 yards away. They are fed at the same time daily and it’s quite a spectacle to behold! The holiday property offers tranquillity and you can watch the buzzards and kites soar over the magnificent scenery. The Snug sleeps two in twin beds and has a modern en-suite shower room and an area of the studio has a sofa and bistro table and chairs. This area leads into the galley kitchen which has the original blackboard showing recipes written by the chef from the days when the building was a pub. Outside there’s a stone courtyard (shared with another holiday apartment) with table and chairs for guests staying in The Snug.
The Brecon Beacons has lots to offer and is renowned as a natural playground for ramblers, bird watchers and mountain bikers alike. It’s also an International Dark Skies Reserve and recognised as one of the best places in the world to stargaze. There are a number of breathtaking walks for guests to enjoy including the iconic shimmering lake and peak of Llyn Y Fan Fach (Lady of the Lake). The nearby charming towns of Llandeilo, Llandovery and Brecon are rich in Welsh culture and offer traditional Welsh pubs, independent shopping and galleries, waiting to be explored. The area is rich in myths and legends with a number of historical sites dotted around the countryside, including the Brecon’s magnificent 10th century cathedral, Carreg Cennen Castle and the lovely gardens of Aberglasney Manor and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
