Small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Priva te parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. Hot tub (private). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced loch 300 yards away.

The Wee Coolins has been completely renovated and finished to a very good standard providing a very comfortable stay for a couple. It is attached to The Coolins (ref UK12410), a three bedroom house sleeping six people. There is an interconnecting door between the properties which can be unlocked in advance to combine both and cater for families and groups up to eight.

Within The Wee Coolins, upon entering through the main door, you find yourself in the open plan living space complete with a modern wood burner. In the far corner on the right is the interconnecting door to The Coolins. The double bedroom has a view out to the courtyard garden where the private hot tub is located.

The property is situated on the very quiet Railway Terrace, which runs parallel to the railway and is very near to Strathcarron station. This railway line, which runs from Inverness across the country to the Kyle of Lochalsh, is continually ranked as one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world. It is single track the whole way, with single or double carriage trains, which pass by the property three times per day. The station is a real asset because those wanting to walk or cycle in the area can use a train to get some distance away from The Wee Coolins, to then have an enjoyable walk or ride one-way back to the property.

There are so many walking and cycling routes in the area to choose from. Without using the railway, the local roads easily lead to Lochcarron, Applecross and Torridon one way, and the Isle of Skye in the opposite direction. The Coolins is well placed to explore the best that Scotland has to offer. After a long day of exploring, there is a pub and restaurant that is popular with locals and tourists alike. It is literally a stone’s throw away from The Coolins. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
