Welcome to Quantock View, a beautiful shepherd’s hut sleeping up to three guests with stunning views across the Quantock Hills and the neighbouring Brendon and Blackdown Hills.
Inside you will find a good quality finish with a futon which converts into a double bed plus a single chair bed. The kitchen has a sink and fridge as well as an induction hob, a lovely dining area and an en-suite shower. Outside is a lovely decked area leading into the large garden complete with a chicken coop and a bike storage area. There is also a fire pit for cooking or just sitting around and enjoying the stunning night sky as there is no light pollution in the area. There is stabling and an exercise area available for one horse free of charge, more can be accommodated by request at an extra charge.
There are three pubs and restaurants nearby plus the large towns of Wellington and Taunton are within a 10-minute drive, and Oake Manor Golf Club is opposite with its stunning 6149 yards course. Sheppys cider is nearby with its 200 year cider making history, head over for cider tasting and a tour of the site. The area is surrounded by walks over the hills and cycle trails for miles from the doorstep. A lovely day out is to get the steam train from nearby Bishop’s Lydeard and head up to Minehead for a day by the seaside. Beach 16 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
