The apartments have been finished to a very high standard with comfort and quality at the forefront of each property and ooze luxury throughout boasting designer bathrooms, well-equipped contemporary modern kitchens and spacious, bright and airy living areas. There is a games room, plus exclusive use of the on-site spa which includes a hot tub, sauna and steam room. Set on the quayside and only a stone’s throw from Pembroke Castle famous as the birthplace of King Henry VII. You can visit and take a step back in time discover the rich history this area has to offer, there is a host of lovely eateries specialising in Pembrokeshire produce and some locally brewed ales to sample, along with gift shops, cafes all in walking distance.
The bustling coastal resort of Tenby is within easy reach and is renowned for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and pastel painted Georgian houses. It has a variety of boutique gift shops, traditional pubs and highly acclaimed restaurants. Take a boat trip to the historic island of Caldey, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. Away from the coast, explore the rolling hills of Preseli and discover its ancient sites dotted along its rugged terrain. For keen walkers the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers 186 miles of truly sublime walks is close by and Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventure and Oakwood Wales largest them park are all within a 30 minute drive.     Our expectations were set quite high given the description of the complex as a luxury holiday village with a roof terrace, spa and games room. On arrival in the car park at the rear of the building it seemed more like a piece of derelict land with a large skip full to the brim and smelling. We were then faced with 29 steps from the car park to an unimpressive front entrance, akin to a side door in a narrow passageway. We had to carry all our luggage and groceries up these concrete steps which were not in good condition. At night this staircase was unlit and certainly if you are in any way physically compromised you would find it a struggle. The apartment itself was reasonably well equipped, but smelt stale/musty and we had to open all the windows to get some fresh air into the rooms. Having said that the bathroom was very good and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately we can’t say the same for the two settees in the living area. There were no soft furnishings in the apartment and it was very bare. All the windows had blinds but no curtains, consequently we were woken early as the blinds were not light proof. The absence of any pictures made the apartment feel sterile and lacking in atmosphere, as well as being quite echoey. There were a number of steps up to the roof terrace, which we were informed about when we booked, however the terrace looked over the roof of the rest of the building which consisted mainly of vents, a/c units and generally was not a nice view. Our overall impression was that this complex was definite not a ‘holiday village’ and was opened far too early, before many of the basics were completed. Furthermore the site itself in our opinion was a poor choice for a ‘holiday village’ Having said all this we were impressed with Tyler, the venue manager who was very pleasant and helpful, particularly in organising at very short notice for the repair of a loose toilet seat.
