Owl Cottage is a quaint, recently refurbished holiday cottage in the ancient town of Fordwich, Kent. This delightful semi-detached property has been lovingly furnished and decorated to a very good standard. Perfect for couples or small groups, Owl Cottage offers a comfortable living area, dining room and galley style kitchen. The garden is enclosed and has seating and a bike store. The first floor offers two charming bedrooms, accessed by characterful narrow and steep stairs. Owl Cottage offers Wi-Fi and a Smart TV with Sky Q and a DVD player, perfect for evening movies.

Picturesque Fordwich, England’s smallest town, is a great location for exploring and sampling the local ales in one of the two riverside pubs, one is a popular gastronomic destination, and the other is a gastropub, both are within 110 yards. The medieval Town Hall is often open for visits and is the starting point for boat trips down the Stour. Beautiful riverside, lakeside and woodland walks start in the town.

Explore the historic city of Canterbury (3 miles/10-minute drive) with its magnificent cathedral, learn about Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales or take a boat trip on the River Stour. Cycle the Crab and Winkle Way, walk or cycle the Kent Downs, visit the coast at Herne Bay, spot a seal and sample the oysters at Whitstable, 12 miles, or visit the Turner Contemporary gallery and swim in Walpole Bay lido at Margate, 15 miles. Another enjoyable experience is to go back in time and explore the castles of Dover, Deal and Walmer. Good train connections to London. Beach 7 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
