Mwnt is one of three beautiful properties within walking distance of the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast, the first area to be established in Britain, which recognises the unspoilt nature of the coastline and its wildlife. A warm and cosy hideaway for two, Mwnt has been completely renovated from top to toe and is set in the pretty hamlet of Nanternis, near New Quay. The cottage itself benefits from a white and pale blue colour scheme and has been carefully converted with contemporary comforts such as underfloor heating. Snuggle up around the cosy wood burner on wintry nights or rustle up a romantic meal for two in the beautifully presented bijoux kitchen. The stairs lead to the lovely galleried double bedroom. The doors lead out to a patio area and beyond to an enclosed lawn where you can enjoy the warm sunshine and light the BBQ provided.

Step outside the grounds and choose from one of the many lanes and footpaths to explore, some take you along the unspoilt Ceredigion Coast Path and others through ancient woodland. Or make your way to the secluded National Trust cove of Cwmtydu, one mile, renowned for smugglers and pirates, the legendary Sion Cwilt was one such smuggler who used this bay in the 18th Century. The beach itself is pebbly and seal pups can often be seen here during the autumn months. Cwmtydu is nestled into the coastline, with paths offering excellent walking opportunities and connecting all the local beaches. For those who would prefer, the Cardi Bach bus service is a special summer only service, which takes travellers from Cardigan to New Quay and back twice a day between June and October. It links all the beaches in between and can transport two bikes.

Nearby Llangrannog boasts a picturesque beach, two pubs, two cafés and chip shop, all enjoying fabulous sea views. Why not taste homemade ice cream at the cafe, there are 25 flavours to choose from! Follow the cliff path to the pretty harbour town of New Quay, four miles, watching out for dolphins, seals, peregrine and choughs en-route, all the while relishing in the spectacular unspoilt scenery. New Quay is a firm favourite for dolphin spotters, with several operators offering wildlife boat trips, along with a centre offering water sports training. Why not wine and dine at one of the pubs or restaurants, many specialising in seafood. Fans of the Welsh poet can follow the Dylan Thomas Trail around New Quay and other areas connected to the famous poet.

A journey of just 10 miles northwards takes you to the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, where you can wander through interesting streets of multi-coloured houses and along its pretty quay side.
With so much to do in the close vicinity, Mwnt is the ideal self-catering property to come back to after an eventful day, every detail has been thought of by the owners, who look forward to welcoming you to their little piece of Wales.

Mwnt can be booked together with Cei Newydd (CC621010) and Llangrannog (UK6005) to accommodate up to 12 guests.
