In the main house, the front door leads you into the vestibule which adjoins the open-plan living area. The grand sweeping table has enough seating along its length so that you can all be together, making each meal a social event. The kitchen is separate, it is well-equipped and ready for you to create memorable family favourites. There is also a separate utility room as well as a ground floor shower room, which is very handy for sandy children after a day at the beach! Up on the first floor you have three kingsize bedrooms, plus a single bedroom, all with en-suite shower rooms and TVs. Then on the second floor, under the eaves, you have an additional kingsize bedroom plus a twin zip and link bed room which can be made up as a super king on request. There is also a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside you have your own private garden with picnic benches so that you can enjoy meals outside in the sunshine.
Hinderwell is a friendly rural village, boasting two traditional pubs, a fish and chip shop, the butchers as well as a tiny petrol station with a little shop. You are just over a mile from Staithes, from here you can join the Cleveland Way which is a stunning cliff top walk connecting Saltburn, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. There are many beautiful destinations nearby, ideal for days out. Staithes has inspired many artists with its idyllic harbour, and holds annual art festivals. Saltburn is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. The historical seafaring town of Whitby delights guests with boat trips and the iconic abbey ruins. From Whitby you can take a trip on the steam train across the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, taking in the views and visiting some beautiful villages along the way.
For children you can ride the miniature train in Ruswarp before hiring a boat to row along the river. An extra special treat for children would be a day out at Flamingoland theme park and zoo, which is around 45 minutes away. At this property your dog is welcome to join you, this area is a haven for dogs, with lots of walks to choose from as well as many dog friendly cafés and pubs.
