These single-storey, terraced, converted stable blocks date back to 1918 and have been lovingly named after ‘Mary’, the last shire horse that worked Moss Hagg Farm, and ‘Sycamore’, the tree that supported the roof for many years. With ducks and chickens roaming free, the location is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors, with the convenience of village amenities including a pub serving food just 5 minutes down the road. On the outskirts of Selby, and just half an hour from York, there is easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 1 hour away, the Yorkshire Coast and the Peak District National Park, both 1 hour 15 minutes, as well as local attractions including the National Trust’s Nostell Priory and Harewood House, and Castle Howard all easily reached within an hour, to name but a few.
The historic town of Selby is just 5 minutes away and is dominated by its superb abbey, magnificent both inside and out.
