Low Farm Cottage is situated in Rosedale Abbey in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.
This is a perfect place to get those walking boots on and enjoy the countryside, with breathtaking views and beautiful dales, the walks are stunning. The cottage was built in 1749 but originally used for the livestock downstairs and the hayloft upstairs. The cottage is now a beautifully restored holiday let perched on the hill above Rosedale. A beautiful peaceful retreat in a cosy property. There is wildlife in abundance right on the doorstep with deer often grazing on the grassland. Watch the barn owls swooping down the valley. Take a leisurely stroll down to the village where there are good pubs, as well as a local shop. The cottage is a perfect base to visit the east coast and the North York Moors and Wolds. Within easy reach of Scarborough, Filey and Flamborough, there are plenty of good beaches to visit. Yorkshire is renowned for its stately homes and abbeys. You are not far from Castle Howard, Sledmere House, Rievaulx Abbey and many more. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway runs regular services over the moors through ’Heartbeat Country’ and stopping in ‘Aidensfield’ (Goathland) and other villages en route to Whitby. In less than an hour you can be in the medieval city of York with its stunning minster that attracts visitors from all over the world. There is an open top tourist bus or take a leisurely cruise along the river.
Low Farm Cottage and Sloe Berry Barn (CC233015) can be booked together to accommodate up to four guests.
