Lobster Lodge boasts a prime seafront position right on the harbour of the traditional fishing port of Seahouses and commands uninterrupted views across the sea towards the Farne Islands. The location of this impressive terraced property is sublime! This family accommodation is immaculately presented throughout and occupied over four floors. Access to the property is either via the harbour-side on the ground floor level, with twelve steps up to the main living area on the second floor, or from the rear, which leads five steps down to the accommodation. The main living area enjoys a bright and airy ambience courtesy of full height glass doors, which lead to a private balcony where the sea views can be admired, the cottage also has the added bonus of garage parking.
There is a wide array of facilities available within Seahouses including tearooms, restaurants, pubs and shops; all within a gentle stroll from Lobster Lodge. Watch the boats launch to the Farne Islands from the private balcony, the islands are famous for their nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. Horse riding is available on the cusp of the village and there’s an impressive golf course on the links close by. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is only 2 miles north with its wide expanse of golden, and often empty, sandy beaches. From here the tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island, and the birth place of Christianity in England, can be viewed. A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill, which is steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. The bird sanctuary at Budle Bay is a vast expanse of mud flats at low tide and is the home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers. The market town of Alnwick with its castle is just a few miles inland, and offers many facilities. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Lobster Lodge offers superb family coastal accommodation from which to explore the 20 miles of Heritage coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 100 yards. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately. 6.
