Battel Hall is a detached, 14th-century medieval hall, that has been stunningly renovated to provide comfort and relaxation whilst retaining some fascinating historical features. In the entrance hall you will find a medieval laver, a stone carved basin which once would have been used to wash your hands before eating. The retable at the top of the stairs depicting five female saints and one male sadly was defaced during the reformation, but the original hangs in the castle chapel and is only one of five in existence. Relax in the drawing or morning room and marvel at the exquisite hand painted DeGournay wallpaper. The bedrooms are uniquely styled with breathtakingly beautiful en-suite facilities, fresh Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy white towels complemented with Noble Isle toiletries.
Battel Hall is a fabulous countryside retreat perfect for wedding parties, reunions with friends and family or corporate events. Battel Hall (ref UKC3940) and Battel Hall and Oast have been joined together to create a larger property. This combined property sleeps 14 guests and with a separate first floor apartment, it provides guests with flexible accommodation options. Perfect should you want to holiday with family or friends but enjoy your own privacy. Catering can be arranged in the oak panelled dining room with a roaring wood burner and seating up to 14 guests.
