Located along the Manifold Cycle Track, Lee House Farm Cottage can be found on the southern fringe of the Peak District National Park between the traditional market towns of Leek and Ashbourne, and a short distance from the village of Waterhouses. The owner lives on-site and is on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.
The semi-detached cottage is located on the same site as Lee House Farm Tea Room which has been established for over 20 years, and where tea, homemade cake and scones are readily available. There is also ample walking and cycling direct from the doorstep, and bikes can be hired nearby to take advantage of the unique location. For those who don’t want to travel with bikes, cycle hire is conveniently available at the beginning of the Manifold Track. At the end of an energetic day’s worth of exploring, a superb wood-fired tub is available (£80 per night if used) and is just perfect to relax in and take in the surrounding environment in true peace and quiet.
Waterhouses is just 1½ miles away and offers a selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. Leek and Ashbourne can both be reached in around 20 minutes and provide ample amenities together with cobbled streets, well-preserved architecture and fascinating heritage. For thrillseekers and family days out, Alton Towers is also around 20 minutes with its theme park, waterpark and spa. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
