Accommodation description

Located in the heart of the Suffolk countryside across from the village cricket pitch, nestles Lavender Lodge. Hidden behind the owners’ thatched cottage, it looks out over the surrounding 2 acres of land. This charming, light and airy, semi-detached, southfacing, single-storey holiday cottage offers a double bedroom with en-suite and a bright open-plan living area. With contemporary styling and a large sofa, it makes an ideal romantic retreat. The patio doors in the kitchen lead out to the enclosed patio area and looks over the owners’ land, which guests are invited to walk round. Lavender Lodge lies close to Stowmarket, a market town since 1347. Every Thursday and Saturday there is a large street market offering a wide range of stalls including food, flowers, arts and crafts. It is a vibrant town with lots of pubs, restaurants and things to do including the award-winning Museum of East Anglian Life, The John Peel Centre for creative arts and throughout the town itself are many fascinating listed buildings. The Suffolk Heritage Coast offers a traditional British seaside outing in the towns of Felixstowe, Southwold and Aldeburgh. Ipswich is perfect for a day of shopping or visiting the marina, which is surrounded by bars, restaurants and cafés. Famous for its undulating landscape, Suffolk is ideal for cycling and walking with marked trails and routes surrounding the property. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with patio doors and wooden floor. 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Beautiful lodge in a stunning part of the country. Pauline and David were so welcoming and helpful. The welcome pack was very generous and much appreciated. Peaceful setting with lovely grounds which our dog loved! Great base for exploring Suffolk and north Essex. Would definitely recommend this holiday home and we'd love to return.

Attached to the owners home, the accomodation is perfect for a get away from it all break. Everything you need is provided. We spent every evening sitting out in the garden watching garden birds including a woodpecker which visited daily, pheasants came wandering around and rabbits played! It's right opposite a cricket green which is perfect for early and late walks with your dog. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here!
