This great holiday property is attached to the owners’ 19th-century stone farmhouse in the grounds of an equestrian centre. The property has been beautifully renovated and boasts a lovely wood burner for those cooler evenings. Guests are free to roam around the grounds and take in the beautiful surroundings; the fantastic views of the Blackdown and Quantocks hills and farm-life including chicken, ducks, sheep and of course horses. Full PADI scuba diving facilities area available for guests to take scuba diving lessons, or kit hire is available for qualified divers. There is also the possibility to organise private horse riding lessons on-site with the equestrian centre. The property lies on the edge of the picturesque village of Bradford-on-Tone, with a popular pub/restaurant and shop. Sheppy’s Cider Museum and restaurant are ½ mile away and Oake Manor Golf Club is 3 miles away in village of Oake.
The Market-town of Taunton and small town of Wellington are both close by, with an array of shops, restaurants, pubs and most amenities. Nestled in the vale between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a great base to explore Somerset. There is excellent walking, cycling and horse riding and the West Somerset Steam Railway provides access to the north Somerset coast. The Georgian city of Bath is also easily accessed with its famous architecture, Roman Baths and Thermae Spa. The city of Wells with its famous cathedral and Bishops Palace, and the University City of Exeter and the mystical town of Glastonbury with its abbey and tor, are not to be missed. There is so much to see and do around this part of the country, the list is endless. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
