With views from the rear across Coquet Island, this detached holiday bungalow sits at the northern tip of Druridge Bay, on a private cul-de-sac next to the owner’s house. It is centrally located, providing easy access to the visitor attractions on the coast and inland and is within comfortable walking distance of a sandy beach and nature reserve. Nearby Amble reputed to be the “friendliest port”, has plenty of restaurants and shops with a working harbour and Sunday market. There are several walking trails of special interest and a variety of wildlife to enjoy nearby. Alnwick (with the castle used in Harry Potter films, enchanting gardens and treehouse) is within 30 minutes. It is a great location for travelling this friendly and unspoilt county, peppered with friendly villages and historic castles. Golf and fishing are available locally. Beach ½ mile. Shops, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

    2 glorious weeks at start of July with our dog. We know the area and have used other properties before ( where we go is determined by bookings) Cottage in great situation with views across fields towards the sea. Lots if wildlife and a great nature reserve nearby with good cafe, but no dogs in reserve.Owners next door and very friendly. Parking ok but some drivers may have to learn tight turning, our 4x 4 Subaru was fine. Perhaps too many notices around but probably needed for some users. We experienced hot weather and a gripe with all agencies is dogs not to be left alone in house. This can restrict things in hot weather, cannot leave dog in car but appreciate some can be destructive, not our 12 year old. Perhaps agencies could figure out some reference system. We would return here, very comfortable and stayed cool during the hot spell.

    The owners left us a range of goodies to welcome us to our holiday and were not obtrusive but on hand if needed. The cottage is in a very quiet, private location but a short drive away from local amenities. We spent a fantastic week exploring the local beaches and town as well as going further afield to Bamburgh etc. We were really grateful to the owners for them allowing us to share their wonderful location and would love to return.
