Hilltop Cottage is located at Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club, on the southern edge of the Cotswold escarpment, above the Severn Valley. The course, dating back to 1889, offers breathtaking views and was described by the late Henry Longhurst as one of the most scenic courses in Europe. Guests are able to enjoy the course and club house whilst staying at the cottage.
This lovely detached bungalow makes the perfect holiday base for touring and exploring this beautiful and historically fascinating corner of Gloucestershire. It offers immediate access to The Cotswold Way where guests will find miles of magical walks. Close by you’ll find the 11th-century Berkeley Castle, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge, Westonbirt Arboretum, many National Trust properties and the thriving royal market town of Tetbury. The major attractions of Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cardiff, Malvern and the Forest of Dean are all less than an hour’s drive.
The accommodation is set on one level and includes an open plan living space, a zip and link bedroom with en-suite shower room, two twin bedrooms, and a family bathroom with a shower over bath.
Outside there is off road parking, and a small seating area with a bench, overlooking the golf course. There are steps with a handrail leading to the front door of the property, however, if level access is required the French doors in the living room can be used. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The views were spectacular and the staff at the golf club and members were very helpful. Such a shame that the settee was uncomfortable. We checked that there was WiFi when we booked but it wasn't available for the whole week and I didn't have any phone signal, spoilt our evenings. Be careful if you open the French doors as dog walkers allowed their dogs to enter the property (I didn't like that) as they had free reign across the golf course - the course was quite flat so golfers would be happy here.

The cottage was very clean with lovely views. It was ideal for walking our dog. We would have found a dustpan and brush useful to go with the broom! The lounge furniture was in good condition but very uncomfortable to relax on. We had to borrow an armchair for our elderly mum from the clubhouse as she found it very difficult to get up from the settee. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen equipment was good. We had an enjoyable 5days in a beautiful area of Gloucestershire.
