Surfing can be found nearby at Sennen beach, horse riding, golf at Cape Cornwall Golf Course or simply enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful area. The Minack Theatre is a must see, cut in to the cliff face with the ocean as a backdrop and overlooking the stunning Porthcurno beach.
Take a trip to the historic town of Marazion with St Michaels Mount rising from the sea like a fairy tale castle. The mount overlooks the glorious white wide sandy beach of Mounts Bay. Kite surfing, canoeing, wind surfing, cycle trails and sailing are all available in the area, and for bird watchers Marazion also attracts birds from around the world to its wildlife marches. Explore the legendary Lands End or take a quiet stroll around the quaint village and harbour at Mousehole, nearby Saint Buryan provides a village store, post office and pub.
The area is used as a film set for the ’Poldark’ TV series and guests can enjoy walking on the wind swept cliff tops or relaxing on one of the quieter sandy coves. With its mining history, engine houses dotted along the landscape the area is a designated World Heritage Site. Take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen in to St Ives, crossing heather clad moorlands passing the village of Zennor with its tales of mermaids. Beach 3½ miles.
