Hideaway Loft is a beautiful and romantic thatched loft conversion in the village of Laversdale in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country. The quirky interior is delightful, the owner lives next door and her attention to detail throughout is evident from the moment you step through the door, where you will find a welcome pack of Cumbrian and continental breakfast items. On the ground floor the modern kitchen is equipped to a good standard with all modern appliances and the shower room is equally as inviting. Continue up the staircase and you will be in awe of the quirky living room with comfortable leather sofas, opening up into the sleeping area with sumptuous bed and sumptuous bedding. With the luxury of cosy bathrobes and slippers, all in all, this is a truly romantic hideaway.
Outside is just as enticing and features the most wonderful garden, which is in the National Garden Scheme, with views of the Lake District, the Pennines and the Scottish Borders hills. The location of Hideaway Loft could not be better for exploring the area. Only a few miles away you will find the historic Birdoswald Roman Fort where you can walk the longest remaining stretch of Hadrian’s Wall and see the ruins of the fort. Only a short drive in any direction can take you into Northumberland, over the border into Scotland and of course the Lake District National Park where you can scale one of England’s highest mountains or sail on one of its deepest lakes! Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
