Formerly a working farm, High House Farm commands glorious views from its elevated position just a mile from the shores of much loved Lake Ullswater. In an idyllic spot surrounded by open fields, with fells as the backdrop to this picture perfect landscape, the setting of High House Farn in its 10 acres of grounds creates an environment perfect for a romantic break. With care and respect to the character of the former farm, the hands on owner has created a collection of five superb holiday cottages from some of the traditional stone buildings. Each individual in itself, features of the original building have been incorporated into the conversion, and all cottages offer character and charm within a contemporary setting. All offer couples privacy, ooze quality and character, and are complemented with beautiful furnishings and excellent en-suite facilities.

Heft is the latest addition to the collection, converted in Spring 2018, and sitting on the outer edge of the site, enjoys a second terrace to make the most of views from this glorious spot. The ground floor accommodation of this detached property is stylishly furnished and the generously proportioned bedroom a real wow factor in this delightful cottage. Couples will find Heft perfect for a romantic break or the perfect base for a week exploring the area.

Walks from the door offer something for all abilities. Hardier ramblers can head to the fells, whilst for those more inclined to take a steadier pace, a stroll down to Ullswater offers wonderful views. Aira Force is close by and well worth a visit. Lovers of the great outdoors wanting to make the most of the area will find convenient storage available for canoes, cycles, windsurfs etc, and livery is available on request for an additional fee. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
Heft can be booked together with The Byre (CC118201), Stable Yard (CC118216), The Bothy (CC118217) and The Hoggest (CC118233) to accommodate up to 10 guests.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason.
