Heather Cottage is situated within easy walking distance to the famous Portstewart Strand, a seaside resort neighbouring Portrush. Its harbour and scenic coastal paths that form an Atlantic promenade leads to two miles of the strand and is popular with surfers. Here, you are situated in the centre of ‘The Famous Causeway Coast’ with all the attractions, breath-taking scenery and miles of golden sandy beaches.

This is a Northern Ireland Tourist Board approved accommodation, (NITB), and is the ideal place to truly relax and enjoy a luxurious stay, with all your home comforts right in the heart of the most beautiful scenery on Ireland’s famous north coast. Just around the corner from the cottages is the Flowerfields Arts Centre where there is a children’s playground and a supermarket.

This cottage provides a comfortable layout all on one level, encompassing living, dining and kitchen areas, with Sky TV and high speed Wi-Fi provided.

At the rear of the property there is a beautiful, secluded and enclosed courtyard, with flowerbeds, a water feature, a gas barbecue and a cosy furnished log cabin.

Nearby, the seaside town of Portrush is home to the famous ‘Barry’s Amusements’, the largest amusement park in Ireland with the latest rides, rollercoaster and wheelchair access to all rides with staff providing assistance when needed.

For the golf enthusiast, Portstewart Golf Club is only 1 mile away, alongside a number of other golf courses including Portrush. There are spectacular coastal, forest, and beach walks. Horse riding, fishing, bowling, tennis and swimming facilities add to the local attractions. There are many fine restaurants in the area, offering a wide choice of fine dining cuisine, the speciality being seafood dishes.

A few miles drive away is the scenic route to the famous ‘Giant’s Causeway’, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Mussenden Temple and the ‘Game of Thrones’ filming locations, namely the Dark Hedges, Ballintoy Harbour and Murlough Bay. The town of Ballycastle is also a short drive away, where you can book the ferry to Rathlin Island, known as a ‘world away for a day’. It is Northern Ireland’s only inhabited island, with approximately 120 people living there. Beach 1¼ miles. Shop 700 yards, pub 1 mile, restaurant 1½ miles.
