The famous Coast to Coast route passes right through the owners’ 5 acres of grounds, and there is easy access to many other established public footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes. The popular market town of Reeth lies just 3 miles away and is home to some of the region’s finest arts and crafts, country inns, pubs, restaurants and scenery. This compact 18th century town is also perfectly placed to explore the rolling Viking valleys and peaks of nearby Arkengarthdale and Swaledale, along with a landscape of secluded villages and cascading moorland streams. For those wanting to walk a little further, the Georgian market town of Richmond is only 10 miles away and offers many restaurants, pubs and teashops that are perfect for a spot of lunch, afternoon tea or a lazy supper. This beautiful and historic town in is settled high above the River Swale and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and the chance to browse the weekly market and monthly farmers market. For guests wishing to travel a little further afield, travel north up to the famous cathedral city of Durham which is only an hour’s drive away and offers many historic attractions, including the world-famous cathedral, castle and city walls. Just under 2 hours drive south, guests will also be able to enjoy a day trip to York, where there is the chance to visit York Minster, the Jorvick Centre and many more popular attractions. Originally a barn attached to the farmhouse, Heather Cottage at Graham House has been lovingly restored. On the ground floor there is a well-equipped country kitchen with Belfast sink, and a small and comfortable living room with a magnificent open fire in a grand feature fireplace, exposed stone walls, original beams and super views across the Dales. On the first floor, guests will be wowed by the well-designed master bedroom with its exposed beams and original features.
