Conveniently situated in the beautiful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, Hazeldene could be the perfect place for you. On the ground floor of a grand house, built for a sea captain in the early 1900s, you will discover this lovely, spacious and thoughtfully presented apartment for two. The owners’ run a small guest house from the main part of the house, but the apartment has its own private entrance leading directly from the parking area. As you enter, you will appreciate the space and the attractive décor. The living room is cosy with a feature range fireplace, and the light and airy kitchen/dining room has a distinctly retro feel with pastel colours. The large bedroom (with zip and link electric beds that can be either twin or a super kingsize) has a Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Outside, there is a sheltered courtyard to the side for your sole use and with patio furniture, so you can enjoy a drink and hear the seagulls.

Just a few minutes walk will bring you into the town and down to the seafront and beach. With its colourful houses, Aberaeron is considered by many to be the jewel of Cardigan Bay, and offers first class restaurants, cafés, and pubs. The summer calendar is usually brimming with festivals and unique events, and whether you are looking for a short break or a longer stay, there is plenty on offer here, whether it is sitting on the harbour wall to watch the sunset, walking the coastal and town paths, exploring the cycle routes or enjoying the unusual shops and eateries.

Ceredigion is perfect for a weekend break or a longer stay at any time of year; with award-winning beaches, sandy coves, sea cliffs, caves, wonderful wildlife, spectacular sunsets and starry dark skies. Its not only Ceredigion’s land and seascapes you will discover, but a distinctive Welsh region with a thriving cultural identity that’s equally about the future as it is the past. There are tiny ports and harbours, and a swashbuckling seafaring history to discover, and the coastal Special Areas of Conservation are havens for wildlife, which you can enjoy with a wildlife spotting boat trip. Enjoy fresh air on a coastal walk, or have a go at a range of water sports. Ceredigion’s largest town is Aberystwyth, a lively university town and seaside resort. Cardigan, the former county town, also boasts a castle, several arts venues and interesting independent shopping.

Discover locations used for TV detective drama ’Hinterland’ and places that inspired Dylan Thomas’ fictional Llareggub of ‘Under Milk Wood’, including the pretty coastal resort of New Quay where Thomas lived for a period. Bottlenose dolphins are frequent visitors to the bay and can often been seen from the harbour, or dolphin survey boat trips are available in season. Inland, the Teifi Valley market towns of Newcastle Emlyn, Tregaron and Lampeter are easy to reach. Even in the smallest of rural hamlets, Ceredigion offers a warm welcome and a host of attractions and history. Befitting of a county that dates back over 1600 years, every town has a tale to tell and each village a mystery to discover. You will be sure of a ‘croeso cynnes’, or warm Welsh welcome at Hazeldene, so what are you waiting for? Beach 500 yards. Shop and pub 150 yards, restaurant 200 yards.
