Come and enjoy the perfect holiday with your friends and family at this large and spacious traditional farmhouse at Hayscastle Farm Cottages. Located on the owner’s working farm in the rural hamlet of Hayscastle, this detached holiday home is one of three character cottages set around a peaceful courtyard and in the perfect location to explore west Wales. On a summer’s day you can try your hand at fly fishing on the owner’s 2½-acre trout lake (£20 for 2 fish), just a 5-minute stroll away, and then cook your prized catch on the barbecue.
Hayscastle Farmhouse offers a great level of comfort throughout so you can enjoy that special meal together at the farmhouse table in the bright open plan kitchen/dining room. Each bedroom has been beautifully decorated and well furnished, on an evening your children can be watching TV in the snug whilst you are enjoying a glass of wine in the living room. Outside, after a game of football on the large enclosed lawned garden you can sit back and watch the sunset.
Newgale is just a 10-minute drive east from Hayscastle and offers a superb vista out over the St Bride’s Bay. It is ideal for long walks, building sandcastles, surfing, kayaking or just relaxing with the waves crashing at your feet. Travel south along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park route and meander around the picturesque coves and headlands. Pass through the peaceful hamlet of Nolton Haven, situated around the beautiful beach.
Enjoy a trip to the famous city of St David’s, Britain’s smallest city, at the most westerly point of Wales and the final resting place of the patron saint of Wales, Saint David. Adjacent to the cathedral stands the 13th-century Bishop’s Palace, a truly magnificent sight. Further along this north coast you will uncover the fishing village of Porthgain and a delightful restaurant which specialises in local freshly caught sea fish, and overlooks the harbour.
Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, is a fun day out for all the family, and located only 30 minutes away, or for those with younger families, be sure to visit Folly Farm Zoo where you can see rhinos, giraffes and even lions! Beach 5 miles. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub 1 mile.
Hayscastle Farmhouse can be booked together with The Old Coach House (ref UK6139) to accommodate up to 17 guests.
