This stunning 7-bedroom Cottage stands in 70 acres of rolling countryside hills and unrivalled views of Cartmel Fells. You will also be able to see the fields being grazed by beautiful black Friesian horses. The internationally renowned ’The Friesian Experience’ equestrian centre is located on the farm, which is home to the retired, working and rescued Friesian horses.
The cottage has retained many of its original features from wooden beams and doorways to stone walls and a beautiful open fireplace. Downstairs offers a large social dining area and fully equipped kitchen as well as two living rooms. The first floor has seven double & king size bedrooms with a mix of en suite and family bathrooms. The front garden offers a very sociable area with a 7-seater hot tub, seating area, lawned garden and BBQ.
Greenbank Farm is situated just outside of the popular village of Cartmel, famed for its horse racing weekends, its sticky toffee pudding and its world-class, Michelin star restaurants! Cartmel is perfectly situated to also explore Bowness-on-Windermere and is in easy access to many popular towns within Cumbria including Ulverston, Ambleside and Coniston.
National Trust properties nearby include Sizergh Castle and Fell Foot park and privately owned Holker Estate. Just under 3 miles away is the traditional Victorian market town of Grange-over-Sands. This seaside town offers plenty for you to see and do, with an abundance of restaurants, cafés, and boutique shops to explore.

    Fabulously located holiday farmhouse. Beautiful view. Well equipped and comfortable for 9 of us with room to spare.. including an under two year and plus ninety year old. Easy access to Cartmel and ideal for families that like to cook from themselves. Very responsive hosts and quick answers to questions. Great stay.
