Enjoying stunning views over Loch Etive, in a quiet and secluded location, this period Edwardian property makes an excellent holiday base for exploring Argyll. In a separate wing of the fabulous 18th-century Bonawe House, it is close to the friendly highland village of Taynuilt and is just 12 miles from Oban.

The Edwardian Wing occupies both floors of the right-hand side of Bonawe House, set in the beautiful, secluded grounds and surrounded by mature beech trees and gardens, enjoying views over Loch Etive. Unbeaten in terms of location and surrounding area, the house and grounds are situated between the stunning Loch Etive and mighty Ben Cruachan, on the edge of the village of Taynuilt. The village offers the convenience of shops, a café and golf course, all within a rural setting, a 15-minute walk from the cottage. Offering period grandeur, lovingly restored by the owners to showcase the Edwardian features, yet offering those important modern comforts.

The magnificent oak-panelled sitting room has a dining area with large windows allowing you to enjoy the views beyond. Furnished in period style, with piano and large feature fireplace, it offers comfort and style. The quality fitted kitchen, opening off the dining area, includes a feature range cooker and dining facilities and also enjoys stunning views. The natural and wooded gardens are shared with the other holiday properties, but the Edwardian Wing has its own seating area in front of the property.

Taynuilt is a busy little village with great transport connections and has a popular village pub serving food, as well as small shops and attractions nearby. It has a hotel with a bar and restaurant, a general store, post office, butchers, hairdressers, café and a railway station all within a 15-minute walk. The busy little town of Oban, 12 miles, has an array of shops, bars and restaurants. You can catch a short ferry trip to one of the Inner Hebrides, including Mull, Staffa and Iona. This interesting area has an abundance of wildlife with golden eagles, basking sharks, porpoises and otters often seen. Explore ruined castles, beautiful gardens and sites of historical interest. Visit Bonawe Iron Works, Cruachan Hollow Mountain and Oban Distillery all nearby. Outdoor activities in the area include walking, cycling, diving, sailing, kayaking, horse riding, golf, mountain biking and fishing. Glencoe and Fort William are easily accessible and also offer mountain biking, climbing and skiing. Further afield, enjoy a day out visiting either Inveraray Jail or Auchindrain Museum. Beach ½ mile. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately. 6.
