This lovingly furnished holiday apartment is also perfectly placed within walking distance of the world renowned Stourhead, one of the National Trust’s finest and most visited properties. If you don’t feel like a game of golf, you can simply sit on the terrace and enjoy a truly wonderful vista across mature gardens, or take your paints and camera and capture some of the stunning scenery within the grounds, a nature spotter’s paradise.
The apartment itself is set on the first floor and is located above the clubhouse, offering charming open plan accommodation, making this the perfect couple’s retreat. Although there is no Wi-Fi, 4G works very well. With great walking routes, including the Monarch’s Way and Stour Vale Way National Trail leading from right outside the door it’s possible to ramble for miles or if a stroll is more your style the village pub and shop is an easy 10-minute walk. There is a network of footpaths and bridle ways to suit all categories of walker. Stourhead House and Gardens can be reached on foot if you want a day out without the car, however if you wish to venture further afield, the charming town of Shaftesbury with the Iconic Gold Hill is just 10 miles away and is well worth a visit. If a blast of fresh sea air takes your fancy, the world heritage Jurassic Coast is just an hour away and offers some truly spectacular coastal walks. coastal walks.
