A delightful detached wooden chalet, in a five-star location, on the water’s edge enjoying spectacular open views over Loch Etive, ideal for those seeking the tranquility of a lochside retreat. South facing to enjoy the best of the sun every day, this cosy chalet sits on the shore side and offers a waterside escape for couples who want to enjoy the stunning scenery and the peace of outdoors. The luxurious private hot tub is so close to the sea that you can almost trail your fingers in the water whilst soaking in bubbles.
Dundonald Landing Lochside Chalet has been fitted out thoughtfully to provide all the comforts of home and is open plan with a separate sitting room area at the front of the property, with doors opening outside to a decked area with furniture and barbecue, perfect for watching the sun rise or relaxing in the evening gazing up at the stars. Guests are welcome to use the private jetty and slipway opening onto Loch Etive, where small trailable boats can be launched. It ideal to fish from and to keep a kayak or small boat close-by to enjoy the best of the waterside location.
The narrow single-track road passing by the rear of the chalet leads along the north shore of Loch Etive and is ideal for cycling and walking along the shoreline. There are beautiful gardens to visit along this road at Ardchattan Priory. The chalet is a leisurely and scenic hour’s walk to the villages of Benderloch, Connel and North Connel where you will find licensed general stores, cafés and pubs to rest and relax in. You are also within easy reach of the Oban to Fort William cycle path - a wonderful scenic route almost entirely traffic free using parts of the old railway line, forest paths and along the roadside - a fantastic opportunity for safe cycling. You’re only a five-minute drive to Connel famous for the amazing natural attraction of the Falls of Lora, a tidal race underneath the Connel Bridge, which has a licensed store, post office, pub and hotel.

The village of Benderloch is easily accessible across the “Moss Road”, forms part of the Lynn of Lorn National Scenic Area and is home of the lovely sandy Tralee beach with cafés & shops and Ben Lora woodland walks. Seven miles away, Oban, a bustling west coast harbour town, has lots going on for the visitor at any time of the year. Central for touring Argyll and known as the “Gateway to the Isles”, with ferries leaving daily to many islands, such as Mull, Iona, Staffa and Lismore.

Within 1 hour’s drive of North Connel, visitors can enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, take a trip to Fort William to see Ben Nevis or take a ferry to one of the many islands served by the Oban ferries. Inveraray, the ancient capital of Argyll, with its castle and jail, is a fun day out for the family.
