There is also a charming rural pub and restaurant (having won a ’Best Pub of the Year’ award) just 3 miles away. Nether Westcote provides an ideal sanctuary for anyone seeking the escape of city life, but with all the convenience of tourist attractions and day-to-day amenities within easy reach. A short drive will take you to Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water, where you will find an array of independent shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and tourist attractions including Birdland, Model Village, Cotswold Brewing Company and Cotswold Farm Park. Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh are also within a short drive. Kingham is 3 miles and every August hosts the renowned ‘Big Festival’, a three day food orientated event. Slightly further afield, you will find Cheltenham with its famous race course, Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, the historic university city of Oxford and Bicester, with its large designer outlet shopping village, and Blenhiem Palace.
