This stunning end-terrace cottage was renovated in 2018 with great attention to detail. With good-quality fittings and furnishings, this really is a special place to enjoy your holiday. Relax in the living room with its large picture window where you can sit and watch the world go by. The kitchen is sleek and modern, the perfect place to cook up a treat, and the bedrooms upstairs certainly do not disappoint with their sumptuous beds and each with en-suite facilities. Whilst the Lake District has so much to offer, you may not want to leave the comfort of this super holiday home.
Corner Cottage is situated in the heart of the delightful little village of Portinscale which sits on the north western shore of Derwentwater. From Corner Cottage you can walk along to Derwent Water Marina where water sports enthusiasts can hire canoes, kayaks and rowing boats, as well take part in wind surfing. There are many leisurely, and not so leisurely, walks from your doorstep up Catbells, Causey Pike and the Coledale Horseshoe. If it is more leisurely activities you are looking for, a short walk from Portinscale takes you to the landing stage at Nichol End where you can enjoy a cruise around the lake.
Whilst Keswick is only 2 miles away with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, Portinscale has a traditional pub, a tea room and a restaurant, and only a 10-minute walk away is the Lingholm Kitchen and Walled Garden. The walled garden sits on the same spot as the old Lingholm Kitchen Garden that Beatrix Potter credited as her original inspiration for Mr McGregor’s garden in The Tale of Peter Rabbit! Corner Cottage will certainly add to the magic of your holiday in this beautiful area. Beach 20 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

    Beautiful cottage, ideal location for Keswick, Whinlatter and north lakes. A very comfortable stay.
