Tucked away in an elevated, sylvan setting with views over beautiful, well-tended, sub-tropical gardens to the sea, this end-of-terrace, single-storey chalet is set in a small, peaceful, private development of twenty-six similar properties on the southernmost tip of the island. It has its own parking in a private gated carpark, and a series of steps take you up to the well-equipped holiday property, which is comfortably furnished, and has a large enclosed, south-facing timber-decked verandah equipped with table, umbrella and relaxing sun-loungers. The chalet provides a great base from which to explore this lovely island, with superb walks down to the local beach or along the adjacent coastal path. Delightful, unspoilt Niton village, a short walk away, boasts a pub, general store, pharmacy, post office and tea rooms, while a famous 16th-century inn is only 10 minutes’ walk away for home-cooked food, fine wines and local ales. Within a short drive are the attractions at Blackgang Chine, miles of unspoilt countryside and the glorious seaside resorts of Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

Very damp cottage, lacking a lot that we have had in other accomodation Half a toilet roll, no extra rubbish bags, no welcome pack..for example a small milk, coffee, tea..after a long drive and late in the day would have been nice to not to worry about getting these things till the next day. No internet..expect this now in this modern age. Kitchen sink and draining board, drying tray dirty, washed all the cutlery and cleaned the drawer. No extra blanket or rug . Just needs a little more care to cleanliness and a few extras. Other places we have stayed were very clean and provided a lot more, milk, bottle of wine, a few food items etc.

Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. There are always tea bags, spare rubbish bags and toilet rolls in the chalet. Other people have mentioned how well equipped it is, and it is always cleaned between visitors. There is usually other essentials like cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar etc. too. I often leave a jar of homemade jam when I have some spare. I do not provide milk because people generally bring some and there is a shop a few minutes away. The site does not have internet access, but I like to think the stunning countryside and sea views are a pleasant escape from the digital age.
