Nestling at the base of some of Wester Ross’ most spectacular hills, this traditional cottage enjoys views across open croft land. Excellent area for a holiday spent climbing, hill walking, mountain biking or much more. Visit the nearby village of Lochcarron with its pubs, restaurants, shops and 9 hole golf course or take a trip to the magical Isle of Skye. The Applecross peninsula is just a short drive, reached via a spectacular drive over Britain’s highest mountain pass. Shops 4 miles, pub 3 miles.

    This was a truly exceptional rental. We arrived a little late in dribs and drabs, 4 adult males with bikes. But we were made very welcome by our very friendly host. We were even offered milk as we'd arrived without. The house was spacious and fully equipped for cooking, living and cleaning. It was a lovely warm base to return to after a hard day's ride. The sizeable TV meant we enjoy the film or sport or fall asleep in comfy chairs. The 3 bedrooms were well laid out and comfortable with warm bedding. 2 showers meant that we weren't waiting for each other each day. As mountain bikers we worried about the inevitable wet and muddy clothes we were dealing with not wanting to create a mess anywhere but there was good provision for this, and I think we were able to leave everything clean on departure. The large drive was also good for the 3 large vans we had turned up in. For provisions or a meal out, Strathcarron was only 5 miles away and we discovered other pubs or bars during our travels despite being off season. Many thanks and I do hope I can return for a stay in this property in future in a magnificent part of the Highlands.
