We had a really peaceful week in this lovely old, cosy cottage. It was clean and welcoming with interesting and quirky decor, adding to the ambience and delight of returning after a day out. The garden was an absolute pleasure to sit in, listening to the songbirds in the morning and evening. A bird feeder or two would be perfect - we couldn't find any locally to buy. We were treated to a common newt on the path one evening and the amazing sight of a meteor on the Wednesday night. Plenty of walks locally, super if you have a dog. The village shop is very, very well stocked and reasonably priced. The Strand in the village is worth a visit (cafe, pub, post office and bookshop all in one), run by a jolly lady who will cook take-away evening meals. We did not meet the owners, but we would like to thank them whole-heartedly for what was a superb holiday. Thank you.
