Boot Cottage is a delightful little terraced cottage in Kirkinner close to the Machars coastline. Boot Cottage has been renovated over the years, and on one renovation, they discovered a single boot hidden in the walls of the cottage.

The cottage is the perfect base for a couple to enjoy the many wonders of this lovely area. Downstairs there is a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a shower room, and upstairs is a good sized double bedroom. Boot Cottage is close to many interesting places to visit in the area. Wigtown, Scotland’s very own book town, has become a much loved attraction. Book Town Week attracts visitors from afar as well as many famous authors who offer lectures and book signings. Enjoy the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf Stream. A must is a visit to the world renowned Logan Botanical Garden with its many exotic plants and trees. The Unesco World Heritage site of the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park is close by with its superb dark skies at night and is well worth visiting. There are many walking and cycling trails on your doorstep, as well as golf, sailing, fishing and riding. With a wealth of things to do in the area, Boot Cottage is the perfect location.
