The golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are only 10 miles away and have excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with town amenities and a great selection of bars and restaurants. Golf, horse riding, surfing, bowling, an indoor ‘splash’ pool, and mountain boarding are all on offer here, and the internationally-acclaimed annual jazz festival is not to be missed. Tamar Lakes are 5 miles away which has a water sports centre with canoeing, sailing, and wind surf hire in the summer months, along with lovely lakeside walks and coarse fishing.
The historic market town of Holsworthy is just 4 miles away, and has a good selection of supermarkets, local shops, town amenities and an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre.
