Set on the owner’s small holding with resident ducks, chickens and geese, and enjoying lovely views over farmland, this detached bungalow provides lovely accommodation for two. There is plenty to see and do close by, including Ironbridge and its famous bridge, the medieval town of Ludlow, which is accessible by car in approximately 10 minutes, and Bridgnorth, a town of two halves connected by a funicular railway.

Ludlow is noted for its large range of antique shops and has a castle, many bars, pubs and restaurants. There are also National Trust properties nearby including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, and the English Heritage property, Stokesay Castle, is worth a visit. The local area is steeped in history, with a well preserved hill top settlement close by.
Further afield in the Welsh Marches there is unlimited sightseeing opportunities, with a variety of small towns where time seems to have stood still and unrivalled views over the mid-Wales hills. Ironbridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its museums are easily accessible by car or even by public transport from Ludlow. This complex of actual sites and museums record the birth of the Industrial Revolution, with the famous iron bridge as its centre piece. The whole area is dotted with castles in various states of ruin and repair, including Powis Castle, now a National Trust property.

Horse riding and walking is very popular in this beautiful location, in fact, the owners have their own forestry area which is great for walks too. The area as a whole boasts an array of sites to see and activities to do. A holiday in Shropshire is an ideal way to recharge and rest during the winter, spring and autumn, while in summer the county gives its best reflecting all that is fine within the English countryside. Shop 2 miles, pub 1½ miles and restaurant 4 miles.
