Great little cottage in the heart of Windermere town . Cottage is ideal for 2 . The only big issue for us was parking . If you have a large car it is very difficult to get into the parking spaces outside the cottage via the only road in which has a very tight 90 degree corner between the cottages .The passage directly In front of the cottage which would make getting the car in and out easy is constantly blocked by parked cars . We parked in the town which is ok if you park at 5pm you can leave the car untill 10pm the next morning . I would have liked a key or an internal lock on the front door . The internal lock switch on the front door did not seem to lock. If you use the oven grille the door gets in the way and the light in the electric heater is not working Just minor points . If we book again we will take the train or my wife's Fiat 500. Recommend. The cottage is very nice . Couple of small points . The storage heater in the bedroom was not working and a shelf is needed in the Shower room . All in all not a bad place to stay well placed and ideal base to explore the Lakes from . We where planing to take our pushbikes and go by train but the Windermere branch is shut . Hopefully it will reopen soon .
