Barn Cottage is a beautiful property, boasting period features that flow throughout, with many exposed beams, classic windows and of course, the thatched roof. Character and charm ooze from the property with the exposed brick fireplace housing a modern electric wood burner, creating a wonderful atmosphere, but also the benefit of modern day technology. The cosy but spacious detached cottage, situated in the grounds of the owners home, has a sociable layout on the ground floor and is perfect for getting family and friends together. Take a step back in time and lose yourself in the bounty that the grounds have to offer. The surroundings are a mixture of farmland and woodland just waiting to be explored and endless walks can be enjoyed. The property also features an enclosed, gravel garden, ideal for relaxing, enjoying the weather and children to play. The best of both worlds in more ways than one, the property is perfectly located. Giving a sense of isolation that you want from a traditional cottage, but whilst maintaining a short distance from civilisation.

Situated close to Uckfield, this very attractive market town has a long and interesting history due to the neutral location and was once a central point to many trade routes throughout southern England. Nowadays the Bluebell Railway, which runs steam-hauled passenger trains, and the Sheffield Park and Garden, with lakes and woodland play trails, are just a couple of the vast amount of activities the town has to offer. The town is still very well connected and makes for easy access into neighbouring towns and villages as well as into London and Brighton, which all make for fantastic days out. Beach 20 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

    One of the best places we have ever stayed; immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, snug and warm, comfy and surprisingly spacious. Lovely and quiet too despite being only minutes from a main road. Recommend highly and would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area.
