This idyllic, detached cottage is beautifully presented with a real sense of comfort. Curl up by the open fire in relaxing surroundings with a glass of wine or pot of tea. The owner has furnished this charming cottage with a real sense of style and comfort, from the well equipped kitchen to the sumptuous super kingsize bed, you will really enjoy your stay. Built in 1837, the cottage is part of Baldowrie Farm, set in 14 acres of land with wonderful walks all around, situated on the Cateran Trail, passing through tranquil, flat farmland with utter peace and quiet all around.
However, you are only 4 miles from the villages of Meigle and Newtyle, both with a selection of local shops and eating places and both easily reached by bicycle, as the roads round here are perfect for cyclists. Across from the cottage, at the side, is its own enclosed garden with garden furniture, so you can relax on sunny afternoons after being out and about touring the local area. Further afield, the city of Dundee with its cosmopolitan attractions, including the V&A, and RRS Discovery will please culture lovers. Alternatively, it is just a short drive from Glamis Castle and the fair city of Perth and within an easy drive of the lovely beaches which stretch out along the east coast. There is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Scotland. Beach 17 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub 4 miles and restaurant 1 mile.

    The lodge was excellent and even better than the photos . Furnished really well and came with everything you could want during a weeks stay . Log fire with plenty of wood made it both cosy and special . Quiet peaceful location with beautiful scenery . You do need a car . Hosts were friendly and communication both before and during our stay was excellent. Would recommend it highly and look forward to returning ourselves.
